Used for whole house

This is a point of use unit but it works for whole home use if your house is small enough. My house is around 1000 sq ft with one bathroom so the unit gets the job done. I would say for a shower you get 2 to 3 mins of hot water after that its just warm, im sure if used as intended you'd get hotter water. Biggest issue was getting the temp set, after fooling with it for a while seems the best way was to crank it up to max while the unit is plugged up. The instructions say to do this while powered off but that didn't work, just saying what worked for me so proceed at your own risk. The arrow on the thermostat is white and so is the background so it is difficult to see, it would be better if the background was red or at least the arrow was black so you can actually see the temperature you are selecting. Overall it is a good buy get the 18 gallon 120 volt version if planning for whole home use.

Works great, was easy to install, heats up pretty quick and last long enough to take a pretty long shower! Super easy to install the chord! Super easy hooking up the water lines, I used shark bites easy peasy! Would highly recommend! I replaced a propane hot water tank using this with no complaints!

Hot WATER AGAIN !!! After my house flooded after Helene, campfire bucket baths for 3 weeks. This little water heater was a lifesaver after the old one caught fire when power was restored. It's only been day one, but I am able to take a nice hot shower for 15-20 minutes and recovery time is good, about 15-30 minutes. If this product holds up for a year or more, it is worth its weight in gold. Needed some help from a knowledgable friend to hook it up only because I had 2 small leaks and he fixed it for me. Other than that, installation of power cord, drain and pressure valve was easy. The trick is knowing how much to tighten down the direct water supply pipes/lines and SEALING them PROPERLY. Hot Water (128°)- NO LEAKS !!
